Talking, criticizing, ignoring, mocking, discriminating, and dominating will not make possible that ideal tomorrow for Haiti. I always remember my freshman year in college taking calculus for engineers. That experience is a good example to make an analogy. These classes are analytical. They have a reputation of being complicated ; therefore, as a novice, I always ended up over-thinking simple problems that did not require that much thinking to solve. It's exactly the same scenario that I have observed concerning Haiti.Problems are too simple;as a result, everyone is too intelligent to solve them. It's obvious that replacing traditional ways of handling problems by new ways will definitely give us that tomorrow. We,concerned individuals, must replace all those talks by acting heart and soul. Replace blames by taking initiative to set an example no matter what is usually seen as an obstacle on our way. ( Someone has to do it first anyway.) Replace ignorance for self-interest by caring for common interest. Replace discrimination by creating opportunities for education. Finally for my point, Replace domination by learning to control your animal instinct.
If the majority of concerned individuals understand the problems are that simple, all hypocrites and exploiters would either unite for the betterment of Haiti or vanish. ( I would prefer them to take conscience and choose to unite instead of vanishing.) In order for the majority of concerned individuals to understand the simplicity of the problems, they have to have the opportunities to break out for themselves from those hypocrites and exploiters'cages. The first step is through the spirit of unity where each one of us willfully volunteers to do our part whether by creating opportunities or make your resources available whatever obstacles on the way.(once again, keep remembering someone has to do it first to set an example.) One does not have to have those traditional titles like a politician, a missionary, an opportunist.(Anyway, there are a lot of hypocrites and exploiters using those titles. ) All that's needed is an honest look at our hurtful actions that led to the big mess. As a tired native who knows just a little based on observation and personal experience growing up in and out of Haiti, I am certain today is not tomorrow. I promise to do my part as one concerned individual while seeking to become a better human. By becoming a better human myself, I will be able to do more as a global citizen who is tired of most of the traditional ideologies and the helpless friends who are solely talking, blaming, ignoring, mocking, discriminating and dominating.Once again, today is not tomorrow. That is all one knows for now.
